“AUM TAT SAT” (All that is Truth), a three-act dance drama, was produced by ‘Know Your Rhythm’ – an international network of artistes, under its Nritya Yoga (Indian Ballet) programme.

The script and music composition for the production was by Arnab Bishnu Chowdhry – an internationally renowned composer, teacher and a raga-based therapist, who is also the Founder/Chief Executive of Know Your Rhythm. The choreography was done by Madhumita Patnaik, Devasmiti Patnaik and Grace Gitadelila. The production was co-created with 50 artistes from Sri Aurobindo Ashram, Auroville, Europe, Russia and USA and staged at the Sri Aurobindo International Centre for Education, Pondicherry as well as at the Auroville Amphitheatre, celebrating the 150th birth anniversary of Sri Aurobindo. To quote from an article by Manjulaa Shirodkar (Music that Heals and Spread Smiles – East India Story): “Aum Tat Sat evokes and invokes” in the words of Arnab, “the teachings of Sri Aurobindo’s vision through Mantra and Nritya Yoga. We try and embody his teachings and his vision into dance-form. I did this using Sri Aurobindo’s commentaries and interpretation of ‘Aum Tat Sat’ in Srimad Bhagavad Gita and the Mandukya Upanishad. The script is inspired by ‘Essays on the Gita’ and ‘Record on Yoga’ in which Sri Aurobindo presents his visionary interpretation.”

A small offering towards this effort was made by the AuroJeeva Trust.
