‘Koham – Soham’ signifies ‘Who am I? I am That’ in Sanskrit. On the event of Sri Aurobindo’s 150th birthday and India’s 75th Independence Day, on August 15th 2022, Know your Rhythm composed and produced a meditative film inspired by Sri Aurobindo’s poem ‘Who

The film offers an audio-visual meditative experience with:
– original orchestral composed music produced by 50 artist-seekers including professional artists across the world: London, New York, Saint Petersburg, Venice, Calcutta, Sri Aurobindo Ashram, Auroville.
– a visual spectacle of interwoven space images and videos from NASA archives

– Artists include Auroville’s Dakshina Chanting group  and Sri Aurobindo Ashram’s chanting group collaborating for the first time. They have undergone Mantra Yoga training for this production.

‘Who’ was written around the time when Sri Aurobindo gave the well-known speech at Uttarpara on 30th May 1909 after his release from Alipore jail where he had the vision of Sri Krishna, during the freedom movement of India. For the first time Sri Aurobindo spoke publicly of Yoga and his spiritual experiences.

The AuroJeeva Trust was happy to make a contribution towards this creative offering.
