“Education to be complete must have five principal aspects corresponding to the five principal activities of the human being: the physical, the vital, the mental, the psychic, and the spiritual.
Usually, these phases of education succeed each other in chronological order following the growth of the individual; this, however, does not mean that one should replace the other but that all must continue, completing one another, till the end of his life.”
~ The Mother
A Labour of love and intense aspiration, The Integral School in Hyderabad is based on the approach of Integral Education as conceptualized by the Mother of the Sri Aurobindo Ashram, Pondicherry. The core objective of this form of learning is to constantly motivate not just the students, but also, those who impart knowledge to discover a purpose of life and the part that one needs to play in it. To achieve this end, the journey of development moves seamlessly and simultaneously between the mind, body, emotions and into deeper explorations and expressions of the spiritual being.
What makes this approach different is also the pace at which the development takes place – time to learn is dictated by the learner. What to learn and how to learn it is also customized keeping in mind that each one has a unique aptitude and aspiration. It may not be the easiest way to teach or even the most practical in terms of logistics, but it is the most ideal and founders Lavlesh and Prakash are certainly committed and wholly adamant to see this through.
The school has recently shifted to another location where buildings and infrastructure are being constructed from scratch. For a venture as adventurous as this, there is always need for support, financial and otherwise, and AuroJeeva is proud to be associated in a small way with this mammoth task.
